Aurora Fire Department
Aurora, Ohio
The Aurora Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the City of Aurora, Ohio, and the surrounding community. The department was originally organized in 1929, responding to the need for local fire protection as the village grew.
Today, the department staffs two stations that operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is composed of a mix of full-time and part-time Firefighter/Paramedics. On any given day, the operational staffing model includes multiple personnel working in rotating 24-hour shifts to ensure continuous emergency response.
Aurora Fire & EMS covers the city’s approximately 24 square miles and responds to a broad range of incidents including fire suppression, emergency medical calls, rescue operations, and community safety services. The department also engages with the community through fire safety education, permit services, and outreach programs.
Thank you, Chief Matthew McBirney and all the firefighters at AFD, for your purchase!
